Can I ask were you involved in the second night incident and if so can you explain how many people were involved that night and if you did or did not see Larry Warren.
Not digging mate I believe you did see something I would just like to know some facts about the second night.

There were 3 nights. they happened back to back to back. Thur into Fri P,B and C. The second night was the one I found out about Fri into Sat when i went up to the LE desk Sat mourning and the desk Sgt told me they had a incident and let me read the blotter entry and report so I was not out there. The third night was Halts and Warren incident that I went out on because I wanted to see if whatever it was would come back again

Also Warren would have been on duty because his flight would have been working. My flight went on break Friday mourning and we returned to duty Monday Swings.

John, I would just like to mention to you that the forum here talk from time to time in PM's and we are convinced you saw something very strange and hopefully we here can help you with some ideas of what you may have seen from what we have investigated ourselves and I hope some of our ideas dont sound too crazy! apollo capsule,plane crash etc,its just our a process of elimination .

I totally understand the fact every possible angle should be looked at. As far as Warren goes I did not see him out there. I know he was not with Halts party but Bustina was. I cannot say for sure if in fact he was not out in the woods durning the incident. That is why I wish he would answer my questions because I would have a better understanding of what his involvement was!!

I think Larry said it was tapes of the radio traffic that was recorded during those nights. May be wrong but Larry will confirm.

Was it standard procudure to record all SP radio transmissions (voice?), with the tapes being kept for a defined period, perhaps three months, before being recorded over, just in case they were required as evidence at some point? If so, was it also standard procedure for all the tapes from all USAFE bases to be held at a central USAFE location, e.g. Ramstein AFB? If that were the case then this is of no special signifigance.

Think PP is on the button as usual with a bit of lateral thinking on why the tapes went to Headquarters if it was of no significance.

Mike Verrano is a key here, as is Gordon Williams. It would be good to ask John B, as he knew they were tapes rather than film, who he got this information from re the tapes or was it a direct observation by John B?

At the moment it seems to be only hearsay that audio tapes of the radio traffic between the SP's was sent to Germany. This needs to be clarrified.
I suspect it was not normal procedure but if an incident occurred it would be as the USAF legal department would want to scrutinise them in case there was any litigation ensuing from the incident.
This does suggest that this incident was of a serious nature if the tapes 'were' sent.

Clarify before judging.
