there are a few points which may make it much more difficult to blow the whistle in the case of UFOs. First off, Dr. Clarke mentions the Roswell incident as an example. Here's another blog
http://ufocon.blogspot.com/2010/02/of-r ... lying.htmlwhich states that the incident was classified higher than the development of the atomic bomb. Thus, higher classification may result in more drastic measures to ensure it. Also, the leaked videos and documents concerning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could cost many years in prison for the person who gave the files to Wikileaks. Punishments will possibly lead to much less whistleblowing in the future. We shouldn't forget that some of the Rendlesham witnesses (especially L. Warren) were allegedly threatened with death (
bullets are cheap). If that's really true - and so far I have no reason to believe otherwise - Larry could be considered as a hero (some may say he was a fool because he risked his life). Even Vince Thurkettle was called on by two mysterious guys in suits. Should make you think, Ian. It smells like intimidation, doesn't it ?
another point is that ET (should he exist) is obviously NOT interested in disclosure either. Keeping in mind that aliens which are able to visit us could be much more sophisticated both technologically and spiritually than us that would mean that whistleblowers have a very hard time. The few
good footages which may be available are certainly VERY rare and may be limited to Roswell and Rendlesham (Roswell: possibility of alien artifacts; Rendlesham: film footage).
There is also no way how abductees could blow the whistle other than telling their stories. We are NOT meant to come up with direct evidence or hard proof. The only proof which supposedly exists is in the hands of just a few military or government people who will keep it safe like a murderer who tries to cover the tracks. And as we know ... some murderers are successful in doing that as their crimes have never been solved or they are still a mystery. JFK anyone ?
It is my assumption that things down on earth would have to change quite a bit before ET steps forward to reveal himself.
One of those things would be that those in possession of proof do reveal it. In the case of Rendlesham that would be the two 36 mm film rolls which General Williams took away. Thus OFFICIAL disclosure may be necessary before other developments may follow.
