The Welsh Triangle
Re Haverford West UFO. And PLEASE don't shoot the messenger!
Incidentally I think you will find David Clarke has some info on this case on his website.

http://www.geocities.com/visitorsfromsp ... _wales.htmOn the 4th of February 1977 a UFO was sighted in Broad Haven, Carmarthenshire (Dyfed).
The unusual object was seen over a 20 minute period by a group of primary school children in a nearby field, (the field was visible from the school building).
Two weeks later, an object was again seen by a teacher at the primary school, at the same location, but only for around five seconds in torrential rain. She was about to notify others when it floated away with a humming sound. Later on the same day, two canteen workers noticed an object at again the same location, watched a figure climb out and move up the slope of the field. They refused to accept that they had seen a UFO, even though it was stressed to them that it would have been nearly impossible for any ordinary vehicle to access that location, given the terrain.
On the 10th February 1977, two youths spotted a UFO in a field near Haverfordwest grammar school. At some 100 yards from the thing, one of the boys, fearing for their safety, propelled a rock at the thing, but the UFO suddenly took off, i.e. it hovered for a short time, then vanished.
On the 19th April 1977, the owner of the Haven Fort Hotel, a Mrs. Rose Granville, was just about to retire at around 2 a.m., when she heard a strange humming sound. It sounded like the central heating, but on reflection she knew this was a different sound altogether. A flash outside the window made her look out, and there she saw a bluish sort of light pulsating and circling. She managed to get a close look at this UFO with some binoculars, and observed an oval object on the ground, and close by two strange figures in boiler suits. The weird thing was, they did not appear to have any faces.
http://www.a-galaxy-of-stars.co.uk/inde ... me=PrinterOn 10th February, two 12-year old boys witnessed a UFO in a field near Haverfordwest grammar school. It was a blue flashing light, seen at a distance of about 130 yards 940 metres). One of the boys threw a stone at it, whereupon, it took off; as it did so, an orange cigar shape, about 16 feet (5 metres) long materialised beneath it. It hovered for a while, before vanishing.
The 16th February, Graham Howells, a 13-year-old schoolboy from Pembroke Dock, saw a bright, metallic object hovering over Pembroke School as he arrived in the morning. Though the weather was quite misty, the boy claimed he had a clear view of the object, which was described as, having a dome in the middle, which was dark grey most of the time, but flashed to a dazzling white about every five seconds. It resembled a plate with a burnt fried egg on it. Around its rim, the "plate" had yellow-green lights with what seemed to me to be retro-rockets. The "plate" seemed to be revolving as well?I'm sure it wasn't a helicopter or a weather balloon.
On 13th March, Stephen Taylor, aged 17, witnessed a UFO at around 9 p.m. It was described as a glowing light with an orange halo around it. He raced over to a friend's house to tell them about it; yet, they did not believe a word of it. Soon, at around half an hour latter, he saw a dome-shaped UFO, just sitting in a field. The object was about 20 feet (6 metres) high, forcing the young lad to stop and look at it, when the figure of a tall man approached, wearing a semi-transparent suit and a kind of spaceman's helmet. "I was so frightened," said Stephen, "that I just took a swing at it and ran."
On the 7th April, Cyril John, aged 64, woke at around 4.45 a.m., having been disturbed by a strange orange light pulsating in his bedroom. It came from outside, and was reflected of the walls. Getting up to look out of the window, saw - to his amazement - that the entire sky was orange. Immediately outside here, I saw two silver-coloured objects. The first was like a very large Easter egg, about 4 feet (1.2 metres) in diameter, and it was swinging back and forth a little above and behind the chimneys of the house opposite. I then saw an object like a man in a silvery boiler suit about 40 feet (12 metres) above my window. It was at least 7 feet (2 metres) tall, and hung stationary, on a level with the "Easter egg". Its attitude was in the position of a free-fall parachute jumper?it hung motionless in the sky, face-downwards, for about 25 minutes. The egg then moved up and above roof-level and glided away sideways - as did the figure.
On 19th April, Mrs Rose Granville, proprietor of the Haven Fort Hotel, was just going to bed, at around 2 a.m., when she was disturbed by a humming sound. At first, she thought it to be the central heating, but then realised it was something totally unfamiliar. A bright flash outside her window caused her to look out, and with doing so, saw a bluish light circling around, pulsating as it went. Grabbing her binoculars, she witnessed an oval object resting on the ground, and near it, two figures dressed in "whitish", plasticated" clothing - like boiler suits; they had no faces.
When a local newspaper printed a photograph of a hoax spaceman, suggesting that this was what she saw - she wrote (understandably) an indignant reply.
With UFO reports like these occurring on a weekly basis, its not surprising - as early as 17th February - UFO investigator Randall Jones Pugh made a statement to a local news reporter: "There's certainly a minor flap down here." Latter, on April 28th, he told the same newspaper that he was now planning a book on the sightings, no doubt inspired to do so by a further - even more extraordinary series of events: the remarkable, yet chilling incidents reported by the inhabitants of Ripperston Farm - just south of Broad Haven.
http://www.socyberty.com/Paranormal/Is- ... ain.129045The UFO activity is concentrated in a specific area of Wales. This triangular-shaped spot is bounded by Cardigan Bay to the West, and the Bristol Channel to the South. All of the extraterrestrial appearances have been mapped within this area, with Mid-Wales as the eastern limit.
Scientists are baffled by the weird goings-on, and theorize that the creatures from outer space are observing the local residents. They fear the day the eerie visitors may decide to use them as guinea pigs for their bizarre research.
At first, expert thoughts the mysterious visitors were spying on the many defense installations in this area of Wales. Because, within a tight radius, there are the Royal Aircraft Missile Range, a missile testing ground, air corridors for supersonic low-flying jets, and an American submarine tracking station.
But, according to the spokesmen at the defense operations bases, most of the extraterrestrial sightings have actually occurred outside the installations.
