Hi Guys hope you are all well, nice to see Larry on the forum.
Now as a lot of you know I have looked into the Rendlsham incident for some time now and came to the conclusion that things didnt add up with the theory etc and had no intention of coming back but I just have to share this with you guys.
Last Wednesday I was delivering a car to the rock barracks at RAF Woodbrige with a work buddy and we got talking about the Rendlesham incident,he knew of the story but hadnt been to the locations so I duly showed him around the sites on our lunch break. After east gate we went to Capel Green parked the car and looked across the field to the second landing site where I pointed out were the second incident happened,we were discussing this for some time when an old jolly yokal local guy out walking asked us if we had lost our dog! we said we had not and expained to him somewhat amusingly that we were ufo spotting, with that he got all serious and said he saw the ufo himself. He went on to explain that he saw " three white lights" leave the airmen and fly across to the coast.I asked him how he saw the airmen and he explained that there were making so much bloody noise that he came out to see what all the commotion was about.I went on digging but he said that "people kept coming round he's house" I could see he was getting uncomfortable and keen to go as he was edging away so I stopped asking questions and he carried on he's walk with a wave......as you can imagine that hit me quite hard and thats all I have thought about for the last few days. When he said people kept coming round he's house I got the idea he was talking about journalists and not MIB,I havent a clue where he lived but can only assume its Capel Green as he heard the airmen and came out of he's house.Buts thats it guys a local who spoke up,but somewhat reluctantly........................thats it what do you make of that guys.

Thank's for that redsocks, it goes to show yet another civilian who saw something. He seemed reluctant to say much more but that could be just shyness or embarressment.
For what its worth, several locals that i knew said on many occasions usually in the local pubs that there were things going on such as strange lights seen in the area of RAF Woodbridge/Rendlesham forest on other occasions than Christmas 1980. They used to say, those Yanks [no offence intended] are up to some thing again, must be a NATO exercise. It was always explained as an exercise for want of a better explanation by the locals.

Mate, i'm a Suffolkonian 'Yokel' :) , live near the area, and have friends/acquaintances who lived and worked in the area at the time of the incidents. I've heard so many personal experiences over the years, and still do so, and they never cease to fascinate me. I have no reason to disbelieve the elderly gentleman. He's just yet another

Hi Redsocks

Good to see you back on the forum. A while ago I left then come back again for much the same reason as yourself - frustration, really.

Interesting story re the old guy. Did he live in one of the farm cottages at Capel Green, I wonder?

In a new topic I've asked if anyone would be interested in meeting up for a few beers and a chat about the whole RFI - perhaps in the pub at Butley or the Jolly Sailor in Orford. I don't suppose for one minute it would solve the mystery but sometimes meeting up to discuss the various options etc is better than relying on the written word....

Hi Puddlepirate,
Thanks for the welcome back.
This old guy was just walking down the road,he came from the direction of the Capel Green houses and was just walking down the lane.I have no idea where he lived,I guess even if we did know were he lived he wouldnt say a lot as he seemed to be a bit cagey about talking about the incident, although after a few pints in the Butley oyster you never know what he may say
