and want to visit the Rendlesham site because of the Bentwaters Woodbridge case. I have seen the area by using Google Maps (here's a link:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl). Rendlesham is clearly shown just north of A1152, but that is just a general marking I believe. I believe (but would appreciate being corrected if I am wrong) that Bentwaters is a little further out just north of A1152 going away from Woodbridge in an area containing streets named (for example) Suffolk and Redwald, and that Woodbridge RAF is just south of A1084, shortly after A1084 branches off from A1152 as you leave Woodbridge. Using the above link, if you click the satellite view, I believe you can see what appears to be the Woodbridge runway just south of A1084. I am assuming that the part of Rendlesham Forest involved in this incident is probably a short distance east into the forest from that runway, approximately where the map identifies Tangham and Capel St. Andrews. I know Larry Warren refers to Capel Green, but I don't see that on this map.
Anyway, does anyone have a better map that more specifically identifies where a newcomer should try to walk to see all of the pertinent UFO area. Also, for a total newcomer, I assume the best way to get to the Woodbridge area would be to take a train from London, rent a car and drive where I want to go, and possibly stay in a bed and breakfast. Any recommendations? Also, for an American used to driving on the other side of the road from you guys, should I try to take special driving lessons before I strike out, or does a newcomer quickly pickup the nuances of driving as you do in England?
