General discussion about the Rendlesham forest incident

Postby John Burroughs » Tue Mar 04, 2008 5:37 pm

To add to the 747 I saw a test in New Mexico with a 747 and ground stations at Kirkland AFB and the beames comming down looked like what I saw at Bentwaters.....

JB - many thanks for your reply to my post. Very useful info. Where you've replied 'can't say' I take that to mean you are not allowed to say, is that so?

For info...the ghost said to appear at RAF Woodbridge was known as East End Charlie - a German WW2 flyer who thought he was landing his damaged aircraft at an airfield in Germany but crash landed at Woodbridge instead (I once sailed in a fleet tender with a navigator of similar skill.... :) )

If you are interested there is a story about it here: http://www.ghosts-uk.net/modules/news/a ... toryid=277

Not allowed. Was told when I was posted on the gate not to talk about anything to do with who was involved that was not from the base. IE Vehicles , personal or aircraft or anything strange that happened in the sky. Halt opened up the can of worms that it happened and a crew was there so I feel I can talk about that plus he brought up the codes so again I feel no problem in talking about that but that is as far as I will go.

John

You told me that you thought this incident was some sort of experiment or accidental happening that affected you and your buddies. You also thought it was some sort of 'vortex' created by an experiment being carried out near by.
I'm beginning to think the same way and i will ask a few 'boffins' i know if there is any science that can cause this.
From information on the web sites, things like particle beam weapons, laser weapons and EMP weapons were all still in the very early stages of development let alone any systems to deploy them in those days.

OK, It could have been the very begining of there test plus why all the dead scientist from that site and slipx made a post where he said Gen Williams made a comment to Bruni about cutting through time....

This is quite intersting and might add something to the 1980 sighting...Bentwaters 1978. UFO sighted by USAF personnel.

We are very lucky to have JB. John, please don't misinterpret my questions. I'm not getting at you, at all. As said previously you have been a very private person, and others have seemingly seen fit to speak on your behalf about what happened eg the camping out in the woods etc. I'd just rather hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak, rather than second third hand and probably therefore inaccurate. Thanks for your response, and clarifying.

JB. I agree with Silvertop - we are no closer now then when Skycrash was published. Lots of theories but nothing that has been discussed thus far comes even close to what you saw. Even reading the description of events and the witness statements shown elsewhere on this site, shows we are miles off the mark with what has been proposed to date.

The area certainly seems to have a history of odd lights being seen, plus ghostly apparitions, highly classified tests involving radars and devices for atomic weapons - not to mention the amount of unexploded ordnance at one time buried in the sands of the 'ness. Then there's the strange happenings in WW2 at Shingle Street, Soviet agents [allegedly] active from a base in Kings Lynn, the shipwreck or two on the ness, A10's being flown off to forward bases in Germany in response to an increased alert. And if that wasn't enough there was the IRA waiting to have a pop, CND lurking around, very popular sci-fi films being shown and - I believe but please accept my sincerest apologies if I am wrong - a major drugs bust at the bases! Add to that a memo written a week or so later that comes to light in what might be best described as unusual circumstances. Not to mention the apparently unscheduled arrival of a huge C-5 transport that parks up in a secluded area with its own security, the Cosmos re-entry, meteors, umpteen satellites burning up (six I think) and of course, the Orfordness lighthouse and the Shipwash lightship! Heck, there's just too much stuff.....

This is exactly how Roswell turned out. Total chaos because there were so many people having their say.

Rendlesham has become this not only from all the books and documemteries but us as well. We have to aknowledge that we as a forum, as good as out intentions are have muddied the waters considerably.
You have two choices here, either give up or carry on, but if you do carry on, go back to the beginning and start again.

If I thought there was any real mileage in going back to the beginning I would but to be honest too much time has passed and there is too little reliable information to make it a worthwhile exercise. What is of more interest is what happened after the C-5 arrived and what happened on the 'ness. I am in negotiation with the National Archive for the release of a DEFE document which catalogues events on Orfordness up until circa 1992 complete with maps etc.. To date the request has not been refused so we shall see. If it is released I won't publish anything on here because it will be freely available to anyone who visits Kew. Also to copy and publish on the web without permission, documents from the National Archive might infringe Crown copyright.

That said, there is a lady who introduced herself on here, Lori I think her name is, who has a website which documents her time at Bentwaters/Woodbrige as LE, including phots of her at the various locations where she stood guard (some in uniform). She was at the bases in 1980 so might be a very worthwhile contact.

I believe 'Lori' is in reference to member, 'Lori Rehfeldt'.

Ms Rehfeldt did have a post in the 'introduce yourself' section at one time but which now appears to have been deleted or perhaps moved. However, if you enter her name into Google you will find the links shown below. I stress I have never met Ms Rehfeldt, I simply came across her post on the twin bases site as a result of following a link in her 'hello' post on this forum. These links have been provided as a source of additional, publicly available information related to the Rendlesham incident:

http://twinbases.org.uk/wentback/rehfeldt.htm

http://youtube.com/watch?v=oKCK4Yf9qMo&feature=related
http://www.topsecrettestimony.com/Witne ... fault.aspx

Ms Rehfeldt would seem to be another reliable witness and as she has posted info on various sites, including YouTube, she might be open to joining the forum.

Incidentally, I have now had a response to my FoI request regarding DEFE 71/48 RAF Orfordness, Suffolk: organisation, 1974 Jan 01 - 1980 Dec 31. it took a while in coming. MoD requested an extension to the usual 20 days response time and the reply is intriguing. I quote:

"Section 26 exemption: this section exempts information that, if it was released, could put at risk the defence of the British Isles or any British colony, or the capability, effectiveness or security of the armed forces (including the army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force and any forces co-operating with them).

When this exemption is applied, we are required to consider whether it is in the public interest to release the information you have requested. I can now inform you that a Public Interest Test has not been carried out for the following reasons......"
MoD then stated that because the specific info I was seeking was not in the file, they would not be releasing the file into the public domain. However, they went on to say "We would like to be of further assistance i helping you locate the information you require" which I thought was a pretty open and honest response - and an offer which I am now pursuing with interest.
