Hi Robert,
And apologies for the delay in responding to your kind welcome and your posting. I realize that we are all looking for answers to the larger questions here, and that it is logical and sensible to look at the more conventional possibilities before moving on to the more sensational ones. In this case a black ops or purely military explanation does bear serious looking into prior to moving on to an other worldly or interdimensional one, no question about it. I wish that Larry and I could supply anyone who is interested with a complimentary copy of "Left At East Gate" to see how we arrived at our opinions. Short of that, we do hope that interested individuals will seek out a copy via a friend, their library or via purchase. The best thing about having co authored such a book is that when engaged by interested parties, you can actually suggest they read your book rather than arguing points you have covered as well as you are able in print. I think yours is an exampliary attitude and also hope that Halt and Penniston someday consider posting their opinions, thoughts and input online here as well..
Best,
Peter

Peter.

Cheers Peter for the response and I hope we can all get involved in what these guys saw and get some agreement or coordination over the three days on the sightings.

The one thing that stands out and is common to at least the first and third night is all the Guy's hypnotic and / or regressive experiences.

An understandably personal and touchy subject for the lads but I would like to have known what they could have remembered before the Regression or hypnosis.

I would think it is now a Catch 22 situation where they can clearly remember before this process but is that as a result of the process or inspite of it?
I would suspect this is a frustration for them and I fully understand this possible problem.

However I am convinced that constantly bouncing around ideas between the Witnesses can only revive the original experiences and for that reason we really need more input from the Guys not yet on the Forum.
I am sure it would help 'Our' Guys tremendously in there deserving search for an answer.

St. - I appreciate the fact that this particualrly loaded question is put forward in a respectful manner. I think its fair to say that over the 9 years in which Larry and I actively collaborated on the book pretty much every scenario imaginable crossed my mind. It had to - if I had simply taken his word for things, or left any - ANY possibility unexplored in this investigation, my reputation would have gone down the drain. I guess that in this conspiracy obsessed world pretty much anything is possible, in either the publc imagination, or in reality. But having observed what Larry has had to endure over the years for taking the stand he has, with absolutely no positive benefit that I've been able to discern makes me feel that the idea of his having participated in some srt of military coverup is completely without merit. What possible patriotic motive there could have been for putting yourself through this is compeely beyond me, and if there is some offshore or Swiss bank account in his name, he sure hasn't touched it that I'm aware of..

And hello Robert in Sheffield - I love Yorkshire.. I can say for certain that Larry underwent reressive hypnosis as I was an eyewitness to it. I also have it as fact that Jim Penniston has done so as well. I've been led to believe that a number of the other witnesses have as well but can not confirm this personally. I think you are accurate in characterizing this as an understandably personal and touchy subject for those involved. While I cannot speak for any of the other men involved - nor for Larry, you can find out in detail everything he consciously remembered before regression, as well as read for yourself a transcript of the July 15, 1995 hypnotic regression he underwent with Budd Hopkins in "Left At East Gate." You will find the transcript on pages 377 through 385. I agree with you that we interested but uninvolved parties can spin our wheels forever without getting any closer to the truth than we are, and would all benefit greatly from more input from witnesses not yet on the Forum.

Hello Peter,

Appreciate the reply. I have had a look at the pages 377 thru to 385 and it seemed a very brief but obviously terrifying recollection that Larry wasn't happy being in the middle of at all.

I am presuming that there was an initial and official 'briefing' that preceded this regression that was recalled via Larry's natural memory process. However by the way Larry reacted to B.H's questions during the regression it obviously has a deep and painful recollection associated with it that he is unable to overcome as yet.

Thank you very much for the insight. And yes we seem to enjoy being up here in Sheffield. Pity Larry didn't meet a girl from Sheffield instead of Liverpool. Better scenery and a UFO hotspot to boot.
Only thing wrong with it is the Football. We will have to give way to Liverpool on that one!

Cheers

Hi Robert - and apologies for the delay in responding. Your characterization is accurate, it was not an enjoyable session; fascinating yes, fun, no. Yes, Larry did discuss his conscious memories with Budd prior to the session. Sorry that Sheffield's team is not up to Liverpool's. And yes, Larry's life would have likely taken a different turn had we spoken in Sheffield and not Liverpool that day in 1997..
Best,
Peter
