Global Hawk UAV - Possible conteder ?

Its a nice thought silvertop, i have seen docs on the Global Hawk and very impressive it is.
My only concern for this as a contender is i don't think they had the soft ware back in the 70's/80's for these types of craft let alone sat nav which is how it maps its routes. Also if it did come down in the forest there would have been plenty of wreckage to see.
