John,

I did not work on Warrens flight that know of. I think he was snapped before I really got to know him and am not sure what fight he was on but I am sure it was not on mine.

Lt Tamplin no I had not heard of him nor any issues involving him.
Lt Eglund was my Lt

I thought you guys might like to see a few pics of crash I had a few months ago. Not UFO related unless you count me flying off my bike at 100km/h ha ha ha

I walked away as shown, unhurt. Looks like I should have broken my left ankle but we have great safety gear and there is titanium in a lot of the heavy impact areas. My shoulder and elbow hurt the worst, but after two days I was 100% again.

Image
So I am flying along one day doing about 150 Mph

Image
I am following behind my competition thinking how in four more turns the race is over and I really want to pass this guy.

Image
But that was not to be. I tried to go in the turn faster and deeper before braking hard but the result was I tucked the front end in and slammed to the ground hard

Image
FYI - To survive a crash with the least amount of injuries you relax like a rag doll and let it all happen. This is where I am right now as I am flopping around the tarmac with a bike attached to me and pulling me off the track. eventually it broke free and traveled along its own path

Image
I finally slide to a halt at the edge of the track

Image
I get up and make my way over to the bike only to find the shift lever is broke so I am out of the race. 30,000 fans are watching from the stands behind me. At least they got what they came to see.... a crash.

Image
I let the corner workers do their job and walk over to a safe zone and out of the impact area.

Image
So game over I head back to the paddock, a short medical inspection and am released. I am on a plane for Shanghai 3 hours later.

More great pics, I bet the adrenalin was really flowing then. A friend of mine does a lot of super bike photography, but I don't get to see the crash photo's that often. The shot of you coming out of the bend on the previous post is a real corker IMO.
Anyway back on topic! JB has posted a request to set up a reunion if you hadn't already seen it. Don't know if you'd ever get back there, but thought I'd let you know anyway.
