In the C Comint file I found this:
One UFO (probably a balloon) moved slowly...south of ----turned SW after passing east of ----turned west upon reaching
south of ---- and ---- etc

Radar picked up 50 UFOs(probably a balloon) at one location. Many in the higher stratesphere.

SURELY there ARN<T any balloons in the ""higher stratosphere" R there !!?? :shock:

It wouldn't be impossible for balloons to reach the stratosphere depending on the type. Surprisingly it's only 20 miles above the suface of the earth. the higher stratosphere would be around 28 miles up. It's unlikely that a group of 50 weather balloons would be travelling together though.
