The Rendlesham Forest Incident
December 1980 30th Anniversary Conference

John Burroughs & Jim Penniston

Talk for the first time in Suffolk at the Woodbridge Community Hall Tuesday December 28 at 6pm

Also attending is Linda Moulton Howe
Nick Pope (MoD ret)
Peter Robbins US based Investigative Writer

In December 1980 strange lights were seen by US Air Force personnel posted to the twin bases of RAF Bentwaters & Woodbridge. To this day they have never been explained. On the 30th anniversary, December 28 2010 two key eye-witnesses are back in Suffolk to re-count their stories. Airman 1st Class John Burroughs and SSgt Jim Penniston were 81st Security Police Officers patrolling the East Gate at RAF Woodbridge when they observed what they initially thought was an aircraft coming down in the forest. The rest is history.

All five are in Suffolk on Tuesday December 28 2010 at:

Woodbridge Community Hall.
Station Road
Woodbridge
Suffolk
IP12 4AU 6pm Start.

The guest speakers are looking for any civilian witnesses to the incident to show up that night.

The talk starts at 6pm. Tickets are £6.00 each. For ticket sales please PM or email me direct info@spaceportuk.com and I will inform you of the address to which you can send payment. Questions call 07811 021230 or 01473 210726 sorry I cannot take orders over the phone. We have a maximum of 350 seats.

At the request of the guest speakers, all profits will go to the Ipswich Treehouse Children’s Hospice Appeal. No one is making any money out of this.

I know I'm going to regret this, but I won't be showing up, even though I live roughly 60 miles away. It's just so close after Christmas and I'll be with family as always.

As you can see Jim and I will be there unlike what Ian implied awhile back that we were all talk and would not show up! Also as you can see Nick Pope will be there so there goes the theory that there is a rift or side choosing going on. Jim and I were invited to come over to be involved with the taping Halt just made in the UK with Nick Pope but because we were already coming over on the 28th of December we respectably declined. Col Halt was unavailable to come over during the Christmas Holidays so that's the rest of the story. Jim and I look foreword to meeting all of you who can show up on the 28th. They did a good job with the newspaper article that was posted today and I'm sure who ever can make it will get there money worth and help out a good charity. Ian its just to bad you can't meet us in the Forrest on the 28th like Jim said your not interested in anything but stirring up trouble.

Sorry to chime in here guys, I rarely post, so forgive me if this seems out of turn. Ian, why on Earth would you choose not to attend such an event? You need to realize that this is the moment of truth. This is the culmination of decades of accusations and counter accusations. It is the perfect opportunity to debunk these people. So, please if you wish to retain a scintilla of credibility in the more impartial observers such as myself, please do reconsider.

Your absence will speak volumes for years to come.

There's an old saying that, though rather blunt, applies quite well in situations such as these; either put up or shut up!
Please take heed.

@ apt, may I chime in here as well

If Ian would go there trying to convince others he's right that would be similar to a vegetarian going to McDonald's trying to convince the guests that consuming meat is wrong.

H mm last time I checked its open for anybody to show up who would like to learn more! Ian has spent over 20 years taking Pot shots at us and now won't show up to talk about what he feels happened! Its time to show up and back up what you have been claiming! Nice spin Stephen but not good enough all those interested can attend its interesting he won't!!

No, it would be similar to an astronomer going to McDonald's trying to convince the guests they are eating this :P :

If you want to pay with paypal, thats OK, PM me and I will send you my paypal account email address. If you pay with paypal, I would prefer not to mail the tickets out because of the additional costs of stamps etc. Let me know if you want me to mail you the ticket(s) but preferably, as soon as I receive payment I can email you receipt for payment with confirmation of your ticket number(s) and you can collect them at the door on the night. Obviously include a reqular email address and a phone number in case I need to call you.

Well, I've received my ticket for the 28th so we'll see what happens. Lighhouse beams sweeping across the forest, multiple landing sites, informed commentary from those who were there...... I can't wait.

Snow? No snow down here. A bit chilly but definitely no snow. Although having said that I fully expect someone will reply that I'm wrong and that Hertfordshire is in fact under sixty feet of snow with reindeer running everywhere = and that must be true because someone said so... or am i being cynical?

The Met Office issued heavy snow warnings for large parts of Scotland and parts of north-east and eastern England, Wales, Yorkshire and Humber, and the East Midlands (source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11836547)... so accounts of snow in Woodbridge are likely to be accurate. I'm about 20 miles to the north of central London so we tend not to get the more extreme weather conditions experienced up north, down in the west country or along the east coast.

I had to visit the Forestry Office this morning. There is only a very light sprinkling of snow on the ground.

RTI Mediaset (Italian TV) will be here on the night to cover the 30th Anniversary Conference. ITN and BBC local TV also I believe.
