Was J.K. Rawling speculating on the symbols etched ?

See - Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows - page 698 HC

Harry Potter reaches in his pocket and pulls out THE SNITCH. Etched on the Snitch - I open at the end.

Harry Potter whispers, "I am about to die". The Snitch breaks open. There are symbols on the inside.

The first is a Circle , which represents the Resurrection Stone, and brings the dead back to life.
The second is a Triangle, which represents the cloak, and makes the wearer invisible.
The third is the crack in the center, which represents a wand, that has enormous powers.

The Circle, as Stone, has the ability to turn the craft into molten liquid. The Triangle, as Craft, has an invisibility shield. The wand has the force of a powerful laser and can change molten liquid back into smaller crafts that emerge after an explosion.

One familiar with wizarding spells are aware of the confundus charm... it suggests, confounds and misdirects. To keep a flying craft hidden, a diversion is created. One can use a flying ball, give it a bright red color in appearance, add some flame-like swirls, and power it to move at night. For effect, add a painted eye ball and pupil that winks and move up and down, to and fro.

Meanwhile, inside a nearby circular craft a robot pushes the meltdown button, which signals an evacuation to a platform which is near the ground and away from the craft. The platform looks like a rectangular carpet, which has gases under it, similar to the 'aspirin'. To the left and above the carpet, an electrical grid has formed diagonally upwards, about 40 feet above the carpet and growing in intensity.

The circular craft's door opens, and containers filled with the "molten" body of the craft are enclosed and descend dripping while moving to the carpet which is a foot off the ground. The containers land on the back of the carpet and form three rows. The initial six containers are placed one on top of each other. These are the ones destined to become transformed into smaller craft.

Would there be symbols for a laser that creates an electro-magnetic field force and the gaseous carpet? Would there be a symbol for a laser that distributes a pencil beam of light? The large round ball is a robot that is involved in the destruction of one craft and the creation of others. The smaller ball is a multiple use flying object.

Can alchemy and magic explain UFOs?

The above is an imaginative exercise of the re-creation of some of the aspects of the first two events in Rendlesham forest. And instead of Rawling's interpretation one can do the following.

The Circle represents the cloak which makes the wearer invisible. The Circle as craft has an invisible shield and can change shapes as a circle into an Indian moon. The Triangle which represents the Resurrection Stone, and which brings the dead back to life, has the ability to turn a craft into a molten liquid and back to smaller crafts.

Has Rawling have left other clues? Do we have any Harry Potter readers?

Having discussed if JKR is a 81st Fan a while ago, I guess you raise an interesting commonality.

What first sparked off this bar room discussion was the naming of the school, "Hogwarts". As I'm sure you're aware the Nickname of the A-10 was the Warthog I guess though its like cloud watching.

Similar to this is the various undergound links in some of the players names ie. Halt, Burroughs and Warren. They are all names given to underground animal lairs.

Warren - Rabbits
Burrow - generic
Holt - Otter

I'm sure if you delve deep enough you can bolt all sorts of things onto this case, but yet again it just draws the eye away from the big picture.
