John
Sure it wasn't those pesky military flares again, it was proved flares last time round. The triangular light formation seen at the same time was some thing else and never identified.

Phoenix Lights

Postby John Burroughs » Tue Apr 22, 2008 8:01 pm

So far they can't identify what it was and the military says they have nothing to do with what was seen. They were seen by Sky Harbor airport and my son saw lights in the sky from his bedroom window.....

When I saw the original footage, I thought " flares" dropped from a moving aircraft and have not changed my mind since.
Caution should ensue

The documentery some time ago 'Lights over Phoenix' were military flares, we had the same flares in the RAF and they descended very slowly on parachutes.
Also seen on that occasion was a huge triangular craft with lights which was not the same thing as the flares. Two seperate incidents.
This latest sighting could well have been more flares.
The military are never going to own up to their operations.
I'v seen these flares dropped on Salisbury Plain at night for exercises and they looked identical to the Pheonix flares.

Pheonix Lights Incident

Postby unMutual » Tue May 06, 2008 12:03 am

I believe the Phoenix Lights incident (1997) was composed of two events - roughly spaced a few hours apart on the same evening.

The first event was a huge slow-moving object following a path through a commercial 'No Fly' zone. It was described as a chevron-shaped, or boomerang-shaped object. Some people who witnessed this object saw it directly over their heads.

The second event was a series of flares dropped by the military a few hours later. These were beyond the nearby mountain range and not over populated areas but certainly very visible in the clear desert air.

If the second event was a planned excercise, then one could logically expect the first event to be a planned excercise.
If the second event was a reaction to the first event, then one could logically expect the first event to be unplanned - something that required a military response.

If both events were planned by the military, then they succeeded in covering a display of advanced technology with low-technology flares.

That's a pretty reasonable explanation and as you and we know, the military are never going to own up to anything.

It looks like it was stage managed.
