Need Explaination!

I think i may have seen a UFO not sure it could very well be explained or it could be some sort of military project.
I was just outside sky watching and this orange light just appeared out of nowhere i walked into the garden and looked over to the North and i could see many stars and then turned away from the North and set my camera on the brick wall. I was turned for around 5 seconds and i turned back to see a orange light it was very big and very bright it seemed to be two small lights joined to make one and the thing that just dazzled me was the fact it was still it was just completeley still i watched it just still for around 7 seconds and then got to camera i started to record and the light began to flash very slowly and move to my right i was still recording and as seen by the video zooming in but when zooming in the screen just blurred i tried zooming around 4 times and in the end just stayed still by now the video had been going for around 14 seconds and the light went behind a house. I went to the other side of the house blocking my view and then put the camera on record again now i am not sure if it was the same light i began to video tape because it seemed smaller and seemed to be flashing faster and had a sort of redness to it and also the light was moving very quickly i would say around 10 times faster so i think i have possibly lost the light i was chasing and instead videoed a plane it is all very confusing. There are so many possibilities at this point did the light break into two? Did the light dissapear? Did it turn back? I am just not sure.
I do not think it was plane or helicopter because i could not hear any sounds of a helicopter or plane any time during the sighting. Also the fact that it took the object seconds to appear right behind me and also the fact it stayed still hovering for around 10 seconds which is definatley not plane activity.

There is probably an explaination but at this point i am not sure.

Hi Sam

I have looked at your video several times and it is really hard to make out just what the light was. The light starts to flash at the very end of your video which looks very much like the Nav lights on an aircraft! Your camera movement/shake did not help either.

Unless tou have already done this, disengage your cam corder's auto focus and just set it manually to infinity. This way objects at distance will always be in focus no matter what happens any nearer to you. Rapid zooming on some digital cam corders can exhibit focus time lag when set on auto focus, so this is another reason to leave it on manual focus.

I admit it was very shakey recording but it was a very exciteing situation when you see a UFO you are in amazement at what you are seeing and it is a very strange and un-real feeling that you get. I actually have now contacted the MOD about this by email i also emailed my other UFO pictures to them and i got a very swift reply and was asked to send my address to them i checked with my parents and then did as they asked and contacted them with my address and they have not yet replied. And since contacting them there has been an increase in military precense in my area i think that the MOD definatley took notice of my sightings and has acted and are keeping an eye on my area.

Thats what i don't understand if the MOD think it is a plane and nothing that needs attention why did they respond to my email and ask for my address? I am just not sure if it were a plane they would not be interested.
