Alternative theory - Different I suppose

Postby Wolf » Sat Nov 24, 2007 12:24 am

I was talking to a guy in a bar the other day and the topic of UFO's came up.

His suggestion of Bentwaters incident was that it kinda caused itself.

Imagine that in a hundred years time someone invents a time machine and decides to go back to Dec 1980 to see what the UFO was. As he arrives back in 1980 the lights or whatever caused by his machines arrival is spotted by the guys at East Gate who go out to investigate. Therefore the time traveller causes the incident he goes back to investigate.

Different I thought, another one for the collection.

Time travel

Hi Wolf

I love the idea, and perhaps its possible [one day], a bit HG Wells but nothing wrong in that.

I think to a certain extent every body associated with this forum are i suspect a tad frustraited with our lack of progress. On the one hand we have all made good progress with our various investigations, but on the other hand we are no nearer finding out what actually happened? There have been several theories put forward, some more convincing than others, but none are provable.
So this new idea you suggest is refreshing as its a new angle. Extremely hard to prove though as it remains in the Sci Fi area. I think we all need to start looking out side the box as this may drag up more theories?

Well all I can say is if I invented a time machine that's one thing I would go back and check on..... Maybe it was me? Then I'd get last weeks lotto numbers.
