Crop circles [what are they?]

Postby Observer » Tue Feb 21, 2006 12:23 pm

Hi
There have been many programmes and discussions about crop circles over the years. Some documenteries have tried to give them a 'man made' signature, and some have tried to give them a geological answer.
I don't buy any of this.
Wiltshire and the West country is a hot spot for crop circles along with a few other places around the world.
Some of the circles seen from the air in Wltshire are so elaborate, large and perfectly formed that there is no way 2 men or an army for that matter could have made them during the hours of darkness then run off home to see the reaction. Some circles have actually appeared over night even while the field was under observation by circle watchers.

One theory is that they are messages to us from inter dimensional visitors. Trouble is, no body has tried that hard to descipher them?

Crop circles

Hi Admin
Sorry for the delay in replying to your crop circle sceptisism.
I have to aggree with you that the majority of circles are probably man made. However, to see a realy elaborate one over a hundred feet in diameter with an extremely complex design not to mention that its dimensions look to be so uniformly neat and accurate. To make this more puzzling, they have in the past appeared over night under the noses of night time crop watchers!

I would think that circles would be hard enough to get right in day light let alone in darkness!
Yes i do eat Weetabix.

Crop circles

Hi admin

Do you think you with a couple of mates could do this over night?
I don't think i could. The mathematics and geometry of it are so complex.
If you gave this project to a draughtsmen or technical drawer to do a schematic on paper, it would probably take him several hours.

Apparently the hoaxes use GPS systems, they can then plot the points which they need to flatted.
Although as you say, I don't think anyone could do this in the middle of the night!

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was a genuine crop circle.

Hi guest

My main point is, how can some of these elaborate circles appear over night under the noses of crop watchers who are sitiing in a hedge on the edge of the field. Yet they see nothing happening. Come morning, there's the circle??

Yes the crop watchers have witnessed hoaxers over night doing their stuff but not in every case.
