hello fellow forum members, just a quick intro to explain my interest. i served in the RAF at the time of the rendlesham incident and can confirm that the MOD removed radar tapes and bridge logs from RAF Neatishead soon after the incident. The MOD maintain that the radar camera was switchd off at the time of the incident. Absolute rubbish!! RAF Neatishead had two primary air defence radars in operation, both with camera's recording the air picture in the southern half of the UK.
I served as an aerospace systems operator in two squadron for several years. since leaving the RAF I have served in the TA as a combat medical technician and a registered nurse. I currently work as a psychiatric nurse in ipswich on the same ward as Andy (fellow member).
I am happy to chat with anyone about any subject, so feel free to contact me.

Hi Gary,
Thanks for joining the forum.
witnesses from the time of the events are so important.
We have recently had a number of key USAF personnel register, so I guess there is overall a desire for the truth to surface. If every one comes forward the peice by peice we stand a chance of finding out what really happened

Hi Gary, i know our colleague 'Tex' is well into the Rendlesham case, but have you ever spoken to Chris? His father was working on base at the time of the incident, and apparently heard of it and ventured into the forest with colleagues to investigate. The military were guarding the site at the time, but apparently from their view-point (and hidden) they saw three scorch marks in a triangular shape. A few days later the area was apparently fenced off so that no one could get near it.

Can you also remember Vie and Dave Warren? (now retired). At the time of the inicident(s) they were working on a top floor ward of St Audry's hospital and had a clear view over to nearby Rendlesham. They recall seeing four or five orange lights hovering over the forest for sometime.

Is there anyway we could contact any of these witnesses to interview them and get detailed accounts of what they saw?
Unfortunately time will have erased or changed some of what they may recall, but it would still be useful. For example the witness that saw orange lights hovering over the forest, if they usually looked over the forest and were familiar with the sights of aircraft moving at night and discounted the lights were aircraft then it it makes us think what were they.
Equally if they say they looked like helicopter lights from a distance this would make us think that helicopters were likely to be hovering and what caused this, who flew the missions, what were they doing what did they see

I'm still in contact with all of them. Chris's father fascinate me, and i still intend to arrange a mutual time and place to meet so that he can try and show me the approximate site he wintessed (bearing in mind the forest is now changed). Vie and Dave are also two very level headed wtinesses. Two very 'no nonsense' people. They would have been very aware of flight-paths, but on this particular night in the latter half of 1980 their attention was drawn to the upper ward window, and apparently stood for some while watching the spectacle as the lights hovered over the forest. At the time they got bored and just put it down to 'Something going on at the base.' but it wasn't until years later and it was reported in the media that they put two and two together and began to wonder? Also, apparently other staff members came up to their ward as they too had seen the spectacle. Vie also recall other staff members who lived nearby and had entered the forest reporting a 'scorched area' ??

chris, vie and dave warren.

hello Andy, have just got home from work!! another rewarding day at the coal face of lunacy!! but i am feeling much better now, just self administered a chinese meal and a mug of tea!!
i was not aware that Chris's dad was involved at all!, it does not surprise me about Vie and Dave Warren, with St. Audry's so close by to the bases. Dave is also an aircraft enthusiast so i believe.
i have been having some interesting exchanges with observer, he is a well versed man, with an incredible capacity for knowledge!
my son is on leave from the army at the moment, he has been in for 8 months now, he keeps marching up the hallway shouting 'hurry up and stop mincing' !! driving me mad!
the site certainly is a great site and very absorbing, time just flies reading the posts.
what have you been up to then? any investigative news?

Andy, forgot to mention 'Tex', he is currently in Rome, proberbly attempting to seek an audience with the pope!! and discuss his shed,or something!! he may have been in the USAF at Bentwaters, but he was not posted in until a year or two after the incident. He recalls rumours, but nothing concrete or of substance. And anyway,
his interests are somewhat more base! and animal in nature!!

Can Popes abdicate? :) He's back, spoken with him today. :)

Another witness was my father, who drove past the base, and unbeknown, on a fishing trip in the days literally after the event, and recall seeing military individuals standing guard at strategic points along the forest edge? Must have been something quite important?

tex, the pope and men at the gate.

hi Andy,
oh, he is back now, i will no doubt see him over the weekend then.
I am sure the pope would want abdicate!! if Tex spoke for hours about taking 11 years to build a shed!! mind you, its a big one!! i believe it can house a C130, the extended fuselage variant!! and has a Mcdonalds, a Wendys, a KFC and a Dunkin Doughnuts!! franchise to make him feel at home!!
Something big, something that needed to be covered up definately took place. Posting extra guards to protect nothing is daft, even for the military!
after reading some of the posts on here i certainly favour an earthly explaination to the incident. And if this is the case i can certainly understand why the MOD and USAF have let the extraterrestrial 'UFO' story drag on for so long, diverting attention as it were.

Mr Warren (ie Larry, not Dave) also mention in his book 'The transmission took place between cops who were observing "some funny-looking lights bobbing up and down." over the forest near Woodbridge base some five miles away.' If you speak to Dave he will tell you that the lights that he, Vie and other staff members observed made strange maneovres.
