Soviet air ship [Alternative Theory]

General discussion about the Rendlesham forest incident

Soviet air ship [Alternative Theory]

Postby Observer » Tue Dec 12, 2006 1:45 pm

Hi all

A new conspricy theory told to me by a friend who is not a member of this forum. Before you all shoot me down in flames, i don't buy into this theory but never the less its an interesting concept.

The large object seen floating over Rendlesham forest by some observers in the Bentwaters control tower was an electrically driven air ship suitably coloured to blend in with the night sky.

The UFO in the woods was actually suspended from the air ship by a very thin wire. It was a soviet/Russian mission to 'sniff' out nuclear weapons on the Woodbridge base.

The air ship was launched from a large 'Boomer' type nuclear powered submarine converted to house this small airship. The submarine was moored out site the 12 mile limit.

It was because Woodbridge was so near to the coast that this operation took place and also because it was a quiet time at Christmas.
It was all remotely controlled from the sub.

The operation was a failure, our authorities knew this but it was covered up to stop an international incident and escalation of the cold war.

There are a few things that don't add up with this one such as the UFO rising in the air and dividing into 5 pieces Etc.

Its an interesting concept, the technology of the time would have been capable. There was incentive and opportunity for the Russians to carry it out!

Air ship theory

Hi Admin

Thanks for your reply.
I agree with you that many parts of this theory don't add up. It also dismisses some of the witness accounts which are pretty well established.

However, i have to say that there could be as you say a tiny element of truth or more to the point, we are getting warmer rather than colder in what happened.

My own belief is that although i don't disbelieve in UFO's this incident looks like it could have been a 'cold' war penenomena. Who knows what technolgy the Russians had in the 70/80's. They were in certain areas ahead of the West including the USA and were masters at espionage in the many forms it was carried out.

I have a new angle on the cold war and very relevant to East Anglia but i will post this in the new year.

Sorry, but my colleagues saw five orange balls of light, not one.
