Return to Rendlesham Part 2

Postby Daniel » Tue Jun 22, 2010 2:47 pm

On June 20th, the 1980 Rendlesham Incident witnesses John, Jim and Larry shared a Roundtable discussion on the Behind the Paranormal radio show. The audio can be found here (#147). Sadly only the first 1hr 30mins of the show is available.

This show was getting quite interesting and I thank John, Jim and Larry for sharing.

Was anyone able to record the show live or was there technical issues at the time also?

The hosts seriously needs a microphone kill switch, which they can activate when they're not talking. This would remove a lot of the horrible background activity.

Thanks for posting this. As a co-host of 'Behind the Paranormal with Paul & Ben Eno,' I assure you that we have taken steps to see that the technical glitches do not occur again. That interference raised considerable suspicions. Broadcast through the brand new CBS Radio studios in Detroit, there was no reason for guests fading in and out, what sounded like background "laughter," and other factors that should not have been there.

Anyway, our series of Rendlesham specials is moving off CBS Radio to a two-hour, last-Sunday-of-the-month time slot on an Internet network and is being cleared of commercial breaks. We also will have fewer people involved; the panel will consist of one expert and two witnesses. "Return to Rendlesham 3" will air in the Behind the Paranormal slot on http://www.AchieveRadio.com on Sunday, 29 August, 3-5 p.m. Eastern time, 8-9 p.m. in the UK. Linda Moulton Howe will anchor the panel live with Steve Laplume and John Burroughs. There will be additional pre-recorded interviews with lesser known witnesses.

'Return to Rendlesham 4' will air in the same slot on Sunday, September 26, with Nick Pope anchoring the panel. Podcasts and question forms are available at http://www.behindtheparanormal.com.

Hi there and thank you for joining. I have listened to a few of your other pod casts and the quality was pretty good. I think Part 2 was getting very interesting up into the second hour and then things started to go wrong. This case seems to always bring out a lot of weirdness. I look forward towards the third installment and any updates on the BBC hit piece fiasco.

Cheers,

Daniel

We have moved off CBS and now have an Internet slot on the last Sunday of the month, and the quality has been superior. Here's the next broadcast announcement:

Join Paul & Ben Eno on Sunday, Sept. 26, for the fourth in the series of historic RETURN TO RENDLESHAM radio broadcasts. Hear it live on AchieveRadio.com from 3-5 p.m. Eastern, noon to 2 p.m. Pacific and 8-10 p.m. GMT. NICK POPE will anchor our panel, with JOHN BURROUGHS and (as their schedules allow) CHUCK HALT and JIM PENNISTON. Along with case background, we'll discuss the UFO/Nuke conference in Washington (scheduled for the next day), claims by Kevin Conde and Ted Conrad, and much more. Free podcasts available later at www.BehindtheParanormal.com. Send questions in advance to paul@behindtheparanormal.com.

Part 4 was great. I thought it was great that questions were asked to try and pick out some new information. Maybe Admin or a Mod can group all the Return to Rendlesham threads into a single new one.

Great work Paul & Ben Eno.

In my view, Mr. Halt needs to think a bit more deeply about this issue. As Mr. Burroughs wisely pointed out, even Mr. Halt was traumatized by the events at RF regardless of the degree as seen from Mr. Halt's perspective. How does Mr. Halt know for certain whether he experienced this paranormal incident "from a distance"? Has Mr. Halt undergone hypnosis? Mr. Halt, you really should investigate the paranormal in more depth. I can understand why you apparently refuse to do so, though. Researching this issue (paranormal) raises all sorts of complicated questions which many people find uncomfortable. ;) On the other hand, maybe Mr. Burroughs and Mr. Penniston should follow the leads of Mr. Warren (simply focus on raising his son) and Mr. Halt by laying RF on the top shelf. Weird crap happens in a strange world, and governments certainly aren't going to help. Move on which is easier said than done.

The subject at hand reflects so many strange things in this life! we all live in our own little prisions dont we just.
Im sure Col halt has looked in to other things paranormal considering what he saw at Bentwaters, but as he feels burned by the events, as do others, i would not expect him to discuss it in a public forum, and who can blaim him!.
i know the other fellas are parents and im sure very good parents, in the end its got to be family first! i dident fly that way years ago and paid for it dearly! as for my son, well in the end hes the only thing that really matters to me these days, and im sure thats true for any parent that gives a damn.
without the Rendlesham incidents and all that followed, id never been blessed with my boy, cause it all led to him as far as i am concerned! life sure is strange! cheers

Good for you Larry. No amount of financial compensation or success can equal the prize that you've gained from Rendlesham. That's all that matters at the end of the end of the day.
