I have to say it, we are back in ever decreasing circles again. Nothing wrong in that because it shows that we can all look out side the box.

Starting with some sort of test or experiment conducted from Orfordness.
It would be unprecedented for [British] scientists to start/conduct an experiment over the Christmas holidays. I really don't think this has any mileage in it at all.

The USAF/Government to conduct a test on its own men on British sovereign territory, I don't think so.

We must stick with what we know.
1: It was totally unexpected
2: It was expected

Only these two senarios are worth further investigation.
No 2 is loaded with clues, but No 1 may have some clues.

Look at what was happening round the world especially between NATO and the Warsaw Pact. Look at the technologies of the time.
Don't be scared of asking questions from places such as DERA, universities etc etc.
There just may be some science going on that needs digging out from such places.
