I have known about this incident since way back in 90s when "Strange But True" and "Unsolved Mysteries" aired TV specials about this subject. However it is only very recently I have become a lot more interested in the mystery as the story seems to have grown exponentially from the first reports. The information or "dis-information" is more readily available

In fact a lot of things simply don't add up at all. There are the hardcore sceptics on the one side who seem to be stuck in their views that it was a lighthouse, a burning manure truck, police car lights or the Apollo recovery vessel or whatever it was. Perhaps? But why did these things all happen at a brief period over 2 or 3 days in history to never be reported before and never get reported again?

Then there is the witness statements. The "Halt Tape" seems to confirm something did happen including beams of light hitting the base. John Burroughs' statements have always seemed to be reasonably balanced by a guy who genuinely seems to want to know "the truth"whilst avoiding controversy. That is until he recently appears to have become "Einstein" on here. On the other hand James Penniston's story has been constantly expanding in detail as time goes on. He may have been frightened initially but this Binary/Morse code issue seems to be lacking in credibility. But I was not there and not a party to the weird events. What did this incident really do to people?

Larry Warren, who I understand broke this story, seems to have either witnessed the greatest event captured on film (to never be seen) or is simply one greatly messed up individual. Alhtough listening to him on radio/podcasts he sounds a reasonably balanced guy :o Other witnesses seem to hint that the Woodbridge/Bentwaters bases had "issues" before Dec 1980 and this continued beyond that date.

Of course I really don't know what the truth is. But it seems to me there is at least one agenda at work and probably more.

I doubt we will ever know all the facts. Feel free to correct me on anything though!
