Puddle If you go down could you take another look at the lighthouse at night take some picture and let us all know what you come up with! They may very well do some night shoots my bet is it would be on Friday night! With follow up work on Sat! And as far as picking on Ridpath I will do my best to ignore what he has to say! Its just really hard when he acts the way he does not to fire back! Whats the best dish on the menu at the pub?

Best dish at the pub? Hard to say. The last time I went was in the summer and I took my lad with me. We had fish and chips and the portions were huge. The fish was very fresh, as you'd expect from a pub right next to the sea but they do other stuff - English mostly. Not sure if you get smoked fish in the States but there's a little shop on the hard at Orford that sells various types of white fish and kippers (smoked herring) and they are bl**dy good. Great for breakfast.

Re the phots - I'll see what I can do. I've posted some of my earlier images on Flickr. Don't know if this link will work but there's some Rendlesham stuff here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/powfoto/se ... 8878/show/

After seeing many video clips of the Lighthouse flashing at a distance, it doesn't fully fulfill the descriptions on the Halt Tape. Blinking is hardly moving left and right. I'd imagine Col. Halt describing a flashlight switching on and off at a distance if he was getting confused by the Lighthouse. As with many researchers, from both sides, they sometimes like to cherry pick evidence to highlight their beliefs and then ignore the rest. This is what has really annoyed me about the BBC over the years, they don't spend a lot of time investigating anything anymore. They tend to find a simple answer and then don't give reasons why selected it.

I think I can already guess the answer and I'm not going to like it.. But after 30 years it's about time to bring it out into the open.

Good luck in the forest on the 28th and I hope it will bring back more memories!

I visited ground zero this morning and as my dog's love running around the forrest, I took another walk there tonight. Unfortunatly I did'nt see Halt. Cloudy skys, light rain, very dark. I wondered up and down the edge of the field hoping to see the lighthouse beam. Did'nt see it.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this one....

John

On the Justice for the 81st Facebook page Philip Mantles mentions new civilian witnesses coming forward but cannot say anything more at this stage. In reply you asked if they could be
from the local fire dept who came out
by the local fire dept I take it you mean Suffok Fire and Rescue (back in 1980 they were probably named Suffolk Fire Service). This is interesting as it's the first time anyone has ever mention the fire service being called out. Any idea who called them and why?

Probably for the pile of S--T dumped in the forest and set on fire. Any attendance by fire brigades to whatever incident requires their control room to inform the local Police. Its part of the protocol between the two services.

So if this is true, both the Suffolk fire service and Police will have records.
This gets better and better, you couldn't make it up.

According Philip Mantle's most recent post on the Justice for the 81st Facebook page (an interesting site but not to be used for asking questions of the witnesses, hence my asking the questions on here), the next edition of UFO matrix magazine will contain a story based on an interview (?) with someone whose parents lived in the area in Dec 80 and who, it is alleged, saw a UFO fly towards Rendlesham Forest. This might tie in with the witness from Sudbourne who stated he saw something akin to an upsidedown mushroom hovering over his house not long before the RFI occurred.

I'm intrigued by John's fire service claim because it suggests new information might be available. Perhaps John could expand on this, particularly as Obs confirms it was an established protocol for the fire service to inform the police of any incidents. Apparently the only entry recorded in the police log at the approximate time of the RFI was the call from Bentwaters.

I looked through some old newspaper clippings I have. On Monday May 2 1994 the Ipswich Evening Star ran a story on the Rendlesham Forest case entiled "Worldwide wonder at eerie UFO site". It mentioned the book Skycrash had sold in excess of 75000 copies in Japan alone.

It continues "Sarah Richardson, of xxxxxx Road (I have the street name) Ipswich was 12 at the time and living in Woodbridge when the dramatic events occured on two nights in December, 1980".

"She was in her bedroom in Rodney Court, Woodbridge, and could not sleep. Looking out of the window she saw "Lights which I thought were like fireworks. There were three of them and I will never forget about it"

It even has a phone number for Sarah........wonder if she still lives there.
