What's happening around here?!?

I tried to decide in which topic this would best fit - but it could quite easily be put into a number of topics. Therefore, to avoid cross-posting I'll stick it in a new topic.

I am a long time lurker, and very occasional poster around here - but I have to say that I am absolutely astounded how things have been panning out of late.

Some of the members on here should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

It is clear that something happened out there in the forest, there are many different theories - some more plausible than others, but nobody is going to get any closer to the truth by resorting to personal attacks and other childish behaviour. I know I am probably only feeding the trolls, and probably shouting into the wind but just remember there are three stages in response to the truth (whatever it may be). First ridicule, then violent opposition and finally acceptance.

I've been lurking for a while too. And and whilst I'm disappointed at the way some of the responses have deteriorated since the conference I can see that a lot of people's patience must be wearing a bit thin, on both sides. I think, although I can't speak for everyone, that people are pretty upset over the whole binary code deal, which even as a 'believer' I had no faith in that whatsoever. I also think, that there are some very strong and relatively civil posts being made from the 'military incident" camp at the moment, which must actually come as a disappointment to the majority here (hey, even I don't like reading 'mundane' solutions -that's not why I started to look into the incident!), so it is understandable, though not excusable that there's a bit of friction at the moment. I liked the forum, pre anniversary better as well, but I've done a complete u-turn this past month (partly thanks to Andrew Pike's absolutely superb article in UFO Matrix -which does not seek to undermine anyone or finger point BTW), falling on the side of the military/natural incident -and I guess there's a lot of private dissatisfaction with the RFI story's latest twist.

And unfortunately, noone can dismiss any one witness 'testimony" without inferring that they are lying, whether intentionally or not. Which is another problem.

Anyway, back to those last couple of pages of Larry's book .....

What has happened is that people who have no clue have all held hands together and decided to throw their hands in the air, throw hissy fits as if it actually matters, and forget that Jim openly and extensively talked about the binary code and what it meant in the early '90's.

agree with all comments on this thread, petty squabbling should be stamped on in its infancy ,its pointless and sends everyone off in the wrong direction.
