Some have changed or elaberated their stories, but some have stuck with their original script. Its quite possible that a few have been 'got' at by chemical means etc.
If true, ask yourself why. My conclusion on this point is because what they saw was of strategic importance to the US and possibly NATO, or it was a very embarrassing event to the US that it would jeopardise the British/US relationship and treaty. These sorts of measures would not i think be used for some little Apollo training capsule mishap or even a UFO event. Its a bit more down to earth than that.
