hi, few years back i got to know vaguely the guy who was the gamekeeper in the area just around the backgate of woodbridge base .(rearing pheasants etc) he definitely knows what went on that night, told me he was there onthe night . now he is retired but still living there ,on that little back winding road just along from the back gate. i never pressed him about it and he only mentioned it the one time , very briefly, but he caught my eye fleetingly ,just long enough to make it clear he wasnt joking . i met him about a dozen times thru the course of my work,we were in a field near his home and tee was a sudden loud engine noise from a helicopter on the base ,and this triggered him to mention "the incident" cant be more than few hundred yards from wherever this copter was .this was praps 5 yrs ago . he was always friendly but guarded if you know what i mean, but straight -as- a- die honest . he"d be the guy if u could get him to chat. but like a lot of "old suffolk boys" that might be like getting blood from a stone!
