Could the 'cobra mist' setup have had a simlar effect in rendlesham??

Its a nice thought and if Cobra Mist had been operational over Christmas 1980, we could possibly point the finger. However, Cobra Mist had been de commissioned and completely dismantled several years earlier.

For you techno's, Cobra Mist was an over the horizon radar which bounced its waves off the ionisphere, but it was plagued with 'noise' and interference that they could not cure and some people thought that the Russians were trying to 'jam' it.
There is some archive threads on this forum about Cobra Mist.
