A night exercise flair coming slowly down by parachute will have an extremely bright orangy light, the centre almost dazzling, it will make a crackling/buzzing noise and it will look like there is molten metal dripping from it, sound familiar, I used them when I was in the RAF.

U ever look at a flare thru a starlight scope? I would think a flare weaving around trees would be hazardous to your health..especially with nice dry combustibles on the ground.

Halt tape: "3:05 At about err... 10 degrees horizon err directly north, we got two strange objects, err ...half moon shape, dancing about with colored lights on them."

A half moon shaped object was also filmed in Kumburgaz (Turkey). The man who filmed it (security guard Yalcin Yalman) saw a star-like object in the sky, but when he zoomed in with his 200x optical zoom lens it appeared to be half-moon shaped and full of detail.

A good example for Jim and his notebook: The Sirius UFO Space Sciences Center CEO Haktan Akdogan took part in a National TV show and stated live in front of the cameras that he would give Yalcin’s film to skeptic Prof. Adnan Oktem to be analyzed at TUBITAK’s National Observatory Center in Antalya. In front of the camera’s and together with Prof. Oktem he delivered the mini-DV video tape to the renowned institute that Prof. Oktem had selected.

After a thorough investigation the TUBITAK institute released a report basically stating that Yalcin Yalman filmed a real object (i.e. the object was not computer-generated) that cannot be identified from the footage.

Of course nobody knows exactly what he filmed. Some say it’s the bow of a ship, some say it are windows of a yacht, some say it’s a genuine UFO. It’s at least as controversial as the RFI. But the spookiest part becomes visible after image enhancement.. Not sure what would be gained to get a note book analyzed..BUT enhancements of Halts recording is overdue..They can filter to a fly fart these days..

Ian ridpath suggested Halt, in reference to the above, was actually viewing stars. I have been fooled when driving by bright stars as they seem to be moving with you. However, when the car is stopped you can see that they are not moving. To suggest a group of people would describe stars in the above manner is just insane. halt and the others must have seen moving objects. I know of no stars that can do the above. Almost as crazy as the light house theory.

Have you seen the news that tackles about another asteroid passes the earth? Yes this issue is true. When we talk about asteroids, this are class of solar system bodies in orbit around the sun. They are also rocky and metallic objects that orbit the sun but are too small to be considered as planets. In the news, they have mentioned that there's a bus-sized asteroid will pass over the Atlantic Monday morning, coming within 7,500 miles of the ground. That is closer to us than the moon is, and is the fifth nearest near-miss in documented history. This is scarry, but they mentioned that it won't earch the earth's surface.
