An article on the work of the MoD UFO Desk, titled The truth is out there... under FOI, has now gone from their website, possibly because it's now over two years old. You can, for the time being, still find a Google cache of it here:

Maybe the MoD also want to wash their hands of their former "rogue trader", Mr Pope. An article by Nick about his time on the UFO Desk has also been removed but can be found cached on Google:

The title, The official who wants to believe, tells you what they think of him. (Note that, of all the desk officers in that job over all the years, all of whom had access to the same confidential material as he did, he is the only one who thought there was anything to it.)

Its the old story, being paid to do interviews and the old 15 minutes of fame on TV is probably the motive.

If you look at any of his interviews , they don't actually say any thing other than obvious facts we know already.
