Hi Admin
If what you suspect is true, un released MOD files on the radiation readings could be interesting, especially for me as i was trained to take readings when i was in the Royal Observer Corps.
I will try and put some sort of perspective on these alleged higher than normal readings.
The Radiac survey meters [Geiger counters] issued to the USAF, ROC and many other military bodies during the cold war decades were designed to take readings of nuclear weapons fall out. They measured the dose rate in Whole units of Roentgens per hour.
The hand held meters had a range from 0 - 300 RPH. The reason they only went up to about 300 RPH was because you could still take readings out side as long as you had protective clothing on and for short periods.
There were not calibrated for taking Milli Roentgens, and if you tried they were very inaccurate. The hand held meters that the USAF had were only calibrated for the reasons i have explained. To get accurate milli Roentgen readings you would need a medical or geological meter. What they used was neither.
So i take no notice of so called "significantly" higher than back ground readings perported by some people as i know the type of meter used and i know its capabilities.
