The Reason All of You Need To Go on 28th

If you look at these threads and indeed any discourse on any controversial subject via the internet, you may well recognise that it is quite simply impossible to make a well thought out argument or point that cannot immediately easily be challenged in an erroneous way.

its exactly the same as a tv program or documentary which interviews half the witnesses, or in the case of this website , emails and sms messaging; whereby x says this and y gets half a story and goes off in another unchallenged direction...(typically the wrong one)

for example in the example of this website - how many times did u mean to say x but the respondent thought u meant y ? or he cherry picks what he like copies and pastes it on response and ignores the bits which didnt fit his agenda ? id say its ost of the posts if not all

frankly u all probably can see that its a dogs breakfast and its getting messier by the day folks....

the internet cannot replace live dialogue. never will - u never get anywhere without the opportunity of an immediate response from the other parties DIRECTLY involved.

accordingly id like offer the suggestion that anyone who has a real interest and SPECIFICALLY anyone who has REGULARLY jumped on this merry go round for 30 years MUST go on the 28th

anyone of those who meet the criteria above and not willing to turn up is clearly either of insufficient moral standing/ and or are self promoting bs artists.

you guys can work out who the regulars are and then extrapolate whether they are real men or whimps !

Alive 555, not everyone will be able to turn up no matter what there view point. It will be over the Christmas period and people have family commitments.

True! But Ian stated we would not show up and we are. We will be back where it all happened and that's the closest you can come to showing what happened. We will go out in the woods and let everybody see if we were fooled or not. The Lighthouse Planets and stars are still there. Heck go ahead and put a car out there also let people judge for themselves!! Ian is welcome to come and show everybody how we were fooled according to him that will be easy to do. Show up Ian and end this mystery once and for all!!

Alive 555, I think you have hit the nail on the head and felt I had to make an exception and reply.

That is exactly why I don't post any longer. I spent 30 years looking at the science of the RFI and even wrote the only scientific report on the case to date. I was going to continue with this case into my retirement (17 December) especially as that 'released' me from the pressures of reputation damage as an astrophysicist looking at UFOs. I won't however.

Anyway well said. Sadly I cannot attend the gathering because of a long standing prior engagement.

Alive555, you're aboslutely spot on in my opinion. I've been tempted to post on here so many times recently, but I've hungfire, as I feel the endless debating is going nowhere (coupled with the fact that I work in a demanding IT job and rarely get the time to post on here). Face to face discourse between the main witnesses, investigators, sceptics and even just people with an interest in the case (such as myself) really is the only way to make progress as far as I'm concerned.

It's such a shame that Ian won't be heading out to Rendlesham Forest on the 28th to join John and Jim. It's obvious that he has such strong conviction for his 'lighthouse theory' (and other mundane phenomena being mistaken for UFOs), so what better opportunity to put this thing to bed once for all by demonstrating the validity of his theory to the witnesses and all those present? Surely this can be debated face to face in public, without it turining into a 'witch-hunt', as has been suggested elsewhere?!

I for one will be in Woodbridge and then Rendlesham Forest on the 28th of December and look forward to meeting all invloved, regardless of your opinion on this fascinating incident.

Nice post alive555, people need to almost follow in the witnesses footsteps to fully understand what could have gone on during those nights. Internet forums are rife with people who only believe themselves to be correct. Then they pick out only specific passages that back up their claims ignoring the rest of the story.

I'm similar to Vortex and can get bogged down in my IT career. Last week I wasted 10 hours wading through a bunch of threads, which has put me quite a bit behind my freelance work. But nothing written within the past week has not altered my standing on this case and I fully support all those who were out there, on those nights, and are looking to fully understand what happened. Sadly I have to reduce my time on this subject for the moment until I get more free time.

Glad to see you're still popping in and out Andrew Pike. I know I would of loved to have picked up a copy of your book, but I'lm still searching.

Be interesting to know if any servicemen asked about the RFI in 1992 when Unsovled Mysteries failed to air on the bases. The weekend before there was a clip promoting the story.

It was the first time I looked in since about July when I was in contact with Craig (Storm) regarding the radiation readings (although a lot was actualy by private email off the site).

Anyway last thing I want to do is get involved in all the debunking nonsense again, so I will get to the point for posting again! It was just to say the Rendlesham Special of UFO Matrix Magazine is out on 30 November and after Phillip Mantle asked me about half a dozen times to do a piece (which I was not keen to do), I finally did rattle off an article for it. So have a look for anybody in doubt about my efforts and views. A limit on the word count does not do it justice, but better than nothing I guess.

I know where Andrew is coming from, I am going to do my best to get down on the 28th but I know it is not going to go down well with family. It is a tough time of the year to slope off.
