'New' footage of the Rendlesham incident?

Postby Admin » Sat Oct 17, 2009 2:12 pm

This story broke just a few hours ago.

REMARKABLE revelations of the best known UFO event in Britain is set to be unveiled in Halton.

An action-packed Paranormal Week of free events is lined up at Halton Lea Library in Runcorn, from Monday.

In what is seen as a big coup, retired US Air Force serviceman Larry Warren will be showing fascinating footage shot by a USAF law enforcement official in Rendlesham forest on the night of December 27, 1980.

His roll of film - to be screened at 7pm on Friday, October 23 - includes images he claims proves what he and many British people have insisted did happen.

It's suppose to be picture! I have been in touch with Peter Robbins and he is not 100% sure because he has not spoken to Larry about these pictures being released! He did say Larry showed him a couple of pictures a few years ago that were taken out there and had several more he didnot see! He said they were very interesting but can't remember what was on them! I just hope they have somthing that is important to the incident! I find it hard to beleive he has had these pictures for several years and kept them under wraps!!!

The intriguing announcement that footage relating to the Rendlesham incident was to be unveiled by Larry Warren should now be considered in the light of a statement by Peter Robbins (co-author, with Larry Warren, of the book on the Rendlesham incident - "Left at East Gate") that he has spoken with Larry about the announcement and that Larry has indicated that he was disgusted as the reports are false and he will not be unveiling any footage.

Does anyone know if Larry showed up and if he did what he had to say?

Hi John,
I made the drive down to see Larry talk ... and it was well worth the drive. Great to see Larry, who gave a brilliant presentation.
The 'new footage' that was hyped (seems people love to simply make things up when purporting to quote him) was a documentary excerpt from the sci-fi channel that was due to be shown at the Quest/UFO magazine Leeds conference, ten years ago - but was cancelled due to Graham Birdsall's untimely death. It was interesting non-the-less ... and which he hasn't previously shown. I hadn't seen it before, so it was certainly new to me.
Larry is looking better than I have seen him in years and his talk was both enjoyable and informative - made all the better for the no nonsense, personal view of events that it gave. It was well worth the three hour drive each way to get there ... and the packed audience seemed similarly impressed.
As, for further pictures - that's Larry's business and Larry's source. Some years ago he did show me and others a couple of photos he had obtained a copy of, that sound like the ones you are asking about ... I am sure, if he still had them, he would have shown them to anyone genuinely interested - who would show him the courtesy and respect he deserves ... which is probably why he hasn't shown them to anyone for a very long time.
Great talk, well presented - most appreciated,
If no one else will say it - I will,
Well done Larry!
regards, Win.

Thank you for the update Winkeech.

Here's some more information:

Source: http://eximiusparanormal.wordpress.com/blogarticles/

Unfortunately some mis-information has been publicised about Larry Warren’s visit to Halton Lea Library, Runcorn This evening.

Runcorn World
“In what is seen as a big coup, retired US Air Force serviceman Larry Warren will be showing fascinating footage shot by a USAF law enforcement official in Rendlesham forest on the night of December 27, 1980. His roll of film – to be screened at 7pm on Friday, October 23 – includes images he claims proves what he and many British people have insisted did happen.”

The above extract from an article in the Runcorn World is, to the best of my knowledge, total fabrication.

As far as I am aware, Larry is just visiting to talk about his experiences, and we were expressly told that there would be no video equipment requirements for this evening. The organisers – that is, myself (on behalf of Eximuis), Mark Rosney (on behalf of Para-Projects), and Janette Fleming (on behalf of Halton Libraries) have no knowledge even of the existence of this alleged footage.
