View from from SPCDS tower at RAF Bentwaters [Rare Photos]

I found some interesting photographs while scouring James Easton's old "UFO World" website (viewable on the Web Archive)
I hadn't seen any of them before, and thought others might find them interesting.

This one was taken from the SPCDS tower at RAF Bentwaters in 1980.
It gives you an idea of how tall (or short) the trees once were. Looks like you can see far into the distance.

The two, December 1980 'UFO' incidents occurred circa 0300 on the
26th and during the night/early morning of the 27/28th.

I'm pleased to reveal a remarkable and previously unpublished
photograph, taken earlier that year from the SPCDS Tower at RAF
Bentwaters. A high resolution scan has been uploaded to my web

This shows a view of the Weapons Storage Area [WSA] and
surrounding landscape, looking towards Eyke village.

At the far side is the Security Police [SP] Assessment Tower.

Just before this, at the end of the 'hot row', are separate,
taller, earth covered bunkers. On top were the Defensive Fighting
Positions [DFPs].

Thanks for those pictures admin,
I stood in that observation tower with Graham Haynes earlier this year and took many pictures.
This is interesting, Graham told me that the entire WASA had a suspended netting [possibly wire mesh] over the the site at about telegraph pole height, If you visit the area some of the poles are still there.
This was to stop any helicopter trying to land in the WSA.
You will also see the double fence around the perimeter which is where armed guards with their dogs patrolled 24/7. Its layout was very similar to RAF Nuke bases.

Ah...interesting. Cam netting by any chance? To spoil phots from spy satellites as well, I presume? Can't have orange forces reading weapons serial nos from anything parked outside the WSA. That just would not do at all....very bad show and certainly not cricket!
