No longer were the lights being seen as five independent objects in formation. Dozens of observers on the ground would swear, in interviews and sighting reports made in the weeks afterward, that they witnessed a single boomerang or delta shaped craft, bigger than any known plane, flying low, slow, and silent. But none of them making this claim examined the object through binoculars.

Southwest Airlines pilot Greg Aguirre and his wife were driving home from dinner in north Phoenix when she excitedly blurted, “What are those lights!?” Aguirre stopped the car and jumped out. Five lights in a v-formation passed over him at an altitude he estimated at between 3,000 and 6,000 feet.  Two of his fists held at arm’s length would cover the formation. No navigation lights were visible and no matter how hard he tried to envision this as a flight of conventional aircraft, his mind recoiled from the awareness that the formation was flying much too slowly for planes, at a speed comparable to blimps. They made absolutely no noise. Southwest Airlines pilot Greg Aguirre and his wife were driving home from dinner in north Phoenix when she excitedly blurted, “What are those lights!?” Aguirre stopped the car and jumped out.  Randall, I was Ann Baker's boyfriend at the time this incident happened, and we were both interviewed for Sightings and a few other programs (if you watched Sightings, I was the long-haired guy sitting next to the blonde Ann Baker). The lights flew directly over our house in Prescott Valley. Both of us were outside looking at the comet through a 4.5“ Celestron reflector telescope (we could not point this big thing at the objects). At first, we thought it was a stealth bomber approaching, but as it flew over our heads, we could CLEARLY see stars inbetween the lights. Furthermore, the formation changed shape as it sped off down to Phoenix. We both concluded that it was 5 objects flying in formation. They made no sound, flew very slowly at first, and then accelerated to an incredible speed almost instantly heading down to Phoenix. One thing I always tell people to keep in mind is that there were 2 incidents that night: 1) the objects flying from Flagstaff down to Tucson, and 2) the flares launched from the Canadian A10's conducting a training exercise near Phoenix. Most videos show the flares, and (you are correct) there is only 1 video of the lights in the first incident. Randall, I was Ann Baker's boyfriend at the time this incident happened, and we were both interviewed for Sightings and a few other programs (if you watched Sightings, I was the long-haired guy sitting next to the blonde Ann Baker).  Many people dismiss the following as hogwash, but in fact 2 F-15's were scrambled from Luke AFB that night to intercept the 1st incident lights, and BOTH suffered electrical failure as they approached the lights, only to recover after the lights distanced themselves from the fighters (after which both wisely headed back to base). This was denied by the Air Force; however, Skyharbor air traffic control saw this happen. Many things happened that night. I'm not saying those were ET's I saw, but I will say that those were UFO's (nothing that can be identified as traditional, human aircraft). Additionally, the Air Force's reaction was pathetic – trying to cover it up by telling those Canadians to drop their flares so as to confuse people. Psychological warfare? In a way, yes, I agree with you. It really angers me that OUR military can't just come out and say, “Yes, those were unidentified flying objects, and we have no clue what they were.”?? Many people dismiss the following as hogwash, but in fact 2 F-15's were scrambled from Luke AFB that night to intercept the 1st incident lights, and BOTH suffered electrical failure as they approached the lights, only to recover after the lights distanced themselves from the fighters (after which both wisely headed back to base).  +Former director of the Civilian Intelligence Network, a loosely-knit citizens' watchdog group on government accountability and network of researchers, investigators and intelligence gatherers whose primary focus was on the government's so-called Black Budget Programs at locations such as the operating base at Groom Lake, Nevada (Area 51). The Civilian Intelligence Network was established in 1990. It is now a defunct group. I now support the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) which is the nation's largest and most well-funded citizens' watchdog group on government accountability. My present focus is on the study of how a segment of the population's "beliefs in UFOs" may have been manipulated (and in some cases, may even have been created) and taken advantage of by the U.S. intelligence community and by the military in counter intelligence operations, even though (i.e., said with a dosage of healthy skepticism) they themselves may have given the impression of having been perplexed by this enigmatic phenomenon which they cannot explain and thus will not disclose to the public.
